01
What Is Mobile Phlebotomy?
Mobile phlebotomy is a service brings blood collection directly to the patient's location, whether it's their home, workplace, or another convenient spot. This approach makes it easier for individuals who may have difficulty traveling to a healthcare facility. Trained phlebotomists perform the blood draw with professional care, ensuring a safe and efficient experience. Mobile phlebotomy can be especially beneficial for elderly patients, those with chronic illnesses, or anyone needing to save time.
03
What are your "At Home" Blood Draw Policies
It's important to provide a clean and private indoor space for your at-home blood draw to ensure safety and success. A sterile environment minimizes the risk of contamination or infection, which can occur if the procedure is performed outdoors or in an unsuitable setting. Having a flat surface, like a table or desk, allows our phlebotomist to carefully handle the sterile supplies needed for the blood. Your cooperation helps us maintain the highest standards of care during your appointment.
05
How do i get my lab results?
Your lab results are usually available within 3-5 business days, though some tests may require additional time. Once your results are ready, your doctor will typically contact you within 2-3 days discuss the findings. In the meantime, you can check the status of your results by checking the patient portal of the selected Laboratory
02
What is Your Rescheduling and Cancellation
We kindly ask for a 24 to 48 hour notice for any appointment cancellations. Please be aware that a fee may apply for late cancellations or "no-shows" with less than 24 hours notice. Our Lab Draws service ensures accurate and efficient specimen collections. All patients must have a complete requisition kit that includes necessary supplies and documentation. Please note, if patients arrive without or have not received a kit, collections cannot be performed, and appointments will be rescheduled once the required kit is obtained. For any inquiries, our team is ready to assist you in the preparation for your visit.
04
Do we accept Insurance?
At LabPreps, we prioritize personalized and convenient care, which is why we do not accept insurance coverage for our services As a mobile concierge service, our payment model operates independently of traditional insurance plans. However, you can submit your receipt to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. We recommend checking with your provider first to avoid any surprises regarding coverage for the testing itself once your specimens are delivered to the lab of your choice.
06
Do I need a Physicians order for blood work?
Most specimen tests generally require a physician’s order or requisition to be processed. However, if you find yourself without one, there’s no need to worry. You can take advantage of our service to conveniently order the tests you need without the hassle of a requisition. We are dedicated to the process as simple and seamless as possible, ensuring that you have access to the test you are seeking.
